Paula Snow

Paula Snow, beloved mom, yaya, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on March 10th, 2026, at St. Raphael Nursing Home in Valley City, ND at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Paula was born in Sacramento, CA on March 5th, 1963, a daughter to the late Paul Eugene and Beulah Ann (Schott) Williams. She grew up and attended school in Rio Linda, CA graduating from Rio Linda High School in 1981. Paula worked for the State of California and retired in 2021 as a Legal Analyst after 27 years. She was very proud of her work there and cherished the lifelong friendships she made. Anyone that knew Paula knew that her daughters and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life, as was her beloved ’sweet nectar’ (coffee). She was the proud mother of three daughters; Emily, Jessica, and Michele; and four grandchildren, Carson, Benji, Carter, and Parker. Paula was preceded in death by her parents. Paula is survived by her daughters, Emily (Andrew) Thompson, Jessica (Katarina) Snow, and Michele Snow; grandchildren, Carson Thao, Benjamin Thompson, Carter Thompson, Parker Thompson; and siblings, Samuel (Brenda) Williams, Mark Williams, Larry (Laurie) Williams, Jack (Kim) Williams, Patty Westerinen, Steven (Sue) Williams, and Thomas Williams. Paula enjoyed spending time at the beach, shopping trips with her girls, enjoying a good meal at a new restaurant, and passing the time with Nickels or Farkle. Paula will be deeply missed by her family and friends that were lucky enough to know her. Although she is sorely missed, there is comfort knowing she is at rest and no longer suffering. Paula’s family thanks CHI Home Health & Hospice for their support and guidance during these last few months. They would also like to thank staff at St. Rapheal nursing home for the amazing care and love they showed Paula. Knowing that in her last few weeks she was surrounded by friendship and laughter provided a lot of peace to her family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in California. More details will be provided by her daughters. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Traditions Funeral Services - Oliver-Nathan Chapel, Valley City.
