Rosemary Stephan

December 14, 1922 - July 9, 2009

Rosemary Lillian Stephan, 86, formerly of Fingal, ND, died peacefully Thursday, July 9th at Bethany Homes, Fargo, surrounded by her loving family and the caring support of Hospice of the Red River Valley and the Bethany staff. Rosemary was born December 14, 1922 in Fingal, the daughter of Torger and Ragna (Rensby) Sebby. She graduated from Fingal High School in 1940 and from Dakota Business College in 1942. In 1943, while working as a bookkeeper at Kern General Hospital in Bakersfield, CA she met and married Fredrick C. Stephan on October 16th. They made their home in Detroit, MI until 1966, when they moved to the Fingal area. After working at Fairmont Foods in Valley City for a few years, she enjoyed a long career at the Fingal State Bank until her retirement in 1990. She was preceded in death by her husband Fredrick; her parents; her siblings Clara, Martin, Carl, Oscar, Alfred, Thelma, Agnes, Ernest; and an infant son Jeffrey. She is survived by two sons Fredrick (Anndrea), Lancaster, CA, Robert (Geri), Fingal; four daughters Nancy Stephan, Milford, MI, Jeanne (Robert) Stelzer, Austin, TX, Roby (Randy) Eisenbeisz, Burnsville, MN, Ruthanne Stephan, Grand Forks, ND; one brother, Norman (Helen) Sebby, San Marcos, CA; three grandsons, T. Damion (Melissa) Stephan, Eric Eisenbeisz, Timothy Eisenbeisz, and two great-granddaughters, Monica Stephan and Rosemary Stephan.
