Lillie VanderBusch Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lillie Alice Busche was born June 22, 1923 at Litchville, North Dakota, the daughter of Louis and Amanda (Wegner) Busche. She attended the Griswold School. She was united in marriage to William VanderBusch on October 11, 1946 at the First Reformed Church Parsonage in Litchville. They made their home on a farm near Litchville where they farmed for 51 ½ years. In 1977, they moved into Litchville, and continued to farm until their retirement. After retiring Bill and Lillie enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. Because of health reasons, they moved to Casselton, North Dakota and lived in Castlewood Retirement Home. They moved to the Arthur Good Samaritan Center in 2002. William died July 18, 2005. She was a past Sunday school teacher and was very active in ladies aid. Lillie enjoyed helping and serving for church functions. She also had awesome vegetable and flower gardens. She always loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lillie is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Jay) Meyer, Mapleton, North Dakota; Charleen (Wayne) Rons, Eagan, Minnesota; sons, Darrell (Kathleen) VanderBusch, Dickinson, North Dakota; Arlen Vanderbusch, Casselton; nine grandchildren, Michelle Halverson, Robert Meyer, Angie Ranum, Kris Vanderbusch, Cody VanderBusch, Ryan Meyer, Amy VanderBusch, Gena VanderBusch, and Nathan Rons; four great grandchildren, Jacob and Devon Halverson, Shain VanderBusch, Mackenzie Meyer; a brother, Benjamin (Frances) Busche, Jamestown, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter, Julie Ann, one sister, three brothers, and a daughter-in-law, Elaine Vanderbusch.
