Gladys Bjornson

Gladys Margaret Webber was born November 16, 1915 in Brady, Montana, the daughter of F. Joseph and Ellen (Dolan) Webber. She moved with her parents to the Karnak, North Dakota area where she attended school. Gladys was united in marriage to Homer Bjornson on August 4, 1943 at her parent’s home in Luverne, North Dakota. Homer was a school teacher and school superintendent and they made their home in Kulm, Amenia, & Reynolds all in North Dakota. They later moved to Minnesota and lived in Plummer, Waubum, and Bemidji. While in Bemidji, she graduated from Norwest Technical College and then worked as a bookkeeper for a plumbing firm in Bemidji. They retired to Valley City in 1981. Homer died August 13, 1998. She continued to live in her condo where she was surrounded by her friends. Gladys was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother Charles Webber and one sister, Florence June Pickar. Gladys is survived by her sister, Rosalind Jacobsen and brother, Walter Webber both of Valley City and 20 nieces and nephews.
