Charles Gage
November 27, 1915 - June 21, 2009
Charles Albert Gage was born November 27, 1915 to Wells and Minnie (Peter) Gage on the family farm in Rochester Township, Cass County, near Page, North Dakota. He received his primary education at Walden School District #101 in Cass County. In 1942, WWII caused him to be drafted into military service for 38 months. He was assigned to the 318th Station Hospital in Great Britain. Upon returning home from the service, he worked for area farmers and attended ND State School of Science. In 1947, he started farming with his brother, Edward. On June 14, 1952, Charles married Gladys Buchmann in Jackson, MN. To this union were born 2 children, Mark and Kathy. The couple farmed until Charles retired in 1977, but they continued living on the farm. Charles is survived by his wife, Gladys of Page; son, Mark of Page; daughter, Kathy (Myron) Grueneich of Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Summer (Jason) Kottsick of Anchorage, AK, Kent (Charity) Grueneich of Fargo, ND, Blake Grueneich of Bismarck, and Krysta (Ben) Potter of Fargo, ND; brothers and sisters, Edward (Leona) of Page, Wells (Yvonne “Ann”) of Yuma, AZ, Fern (Lawrence) Larson of Lisbon, ND, Paul (Marilyn) of Valley City, ND, June (Tom) Ruyle of Sun City West, AZ, and Clarke (Carolyn) of Onalaska, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters and brother, Louise, Ruth, Esther, and Fred.
