Arthur Kraft

March 3, 1927 - October 6, 2009

Arthur Vernon Kraft was born March 3, 1927, near Cuba, North Dakota, the son of Otto and Julia (Reberg) Kraft. He attended school in the Cuba & Fingal (ND) areas. Arthur worked as a farm laborer before he entered the United States Army on October 10, 1950. He served in Korea where he was injured and received the Purple Heart. He was discharged September 9, 1952, and made his home in Rapid City, South Dakota. Arthur worked as a heavy equipment operator on several road constructions in the area and retired from Summit Construction in 1983 after 13 years with them. Arthur moved to Fargo, September 4, 2009. He is survived by three brothers, Alfred, Princeton, Minnesota; Fred (Elaine), Lake Park, Minnesota; Curtis, Moorhead, Minnesota; a sister, Bernice Elshaug, Marysville, Washington and many nieces and nephews. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and six sisters.
